met up with Calvin Stupid Ang Red Tattoo Neverendless Berdy Berd, aka Berd for short, on Monday. went to eat at BK first, then headed to the Grand Cathay for a movie. he didnt allow me to satisfy my craving for Takopachi. :(

haha ok. so i gave him his superrrrr belated birthday present [which i've kept for like, forever] and he gave me mine! which is....

a ticket to watch Beowulf! :D

i had no idea that Beowulf was NC16, cos i thought that all cartoons would be like PG or something. but once the movie began, it was clear why Beowulf was rated NC16. it's rather.....suggestive, and kinda gruesome. like Saw. anyway i'd rate this movie 3/5 stars, cos it made me not want to take my eyes off the screen during the climax. but, the ending sucked lah. i think the whole movie is just a cycle. and Angelina Jolie didnt even die in the end, her character doesnt even have a name.

there really wasnt much to do in Grand Cathay except to watch movies, so although the movie started at 3.10, we were waiting outside the theatre at 2.45 already.

the floor is damn nice, the reflections of the lights look like stars.

and i tried getting the Berd to take photos, but he shunned frm it. so i had to force him. :s

after i showed him this photo, he was like, "why like that!?" and i scolded, "now you wanna take properly or not!?" and he grumbled, "ok ok.."

and after this photo, he said, "why so ugly one??" but he didnt wanna take anymore cos the theatre finally was letting ppl in.

after sitting outside the theatre for like half an hr we realized that the snack counter wasnt open, so we had to go down to buy our snacks. whee, nachos rock. :)

on the way back the Berd made a rather relevant comment. he said, "in a JC you have to learn to be independent." and then went on to explain that he was left out in his previous clique and that's why he has to be independent now. so i guess, berds of a feather flock together eh. HAHA.

oh yes. there was like a sushi buffet at the Grand Cathay for only $14.90 for students! who wants to go?? :D

training yesterday was once again quite slack. i tell you, training in the afternoon sucks ok. the whole morning dont wanna rain, once afternoon comes only the rain came. BAH.

but still, running on the ground is still much much better than running on the field. dont know why, but everytime we run round the field there's a mental block man.

oh yes. Jia Yu and i had to get the keys frm Jin Yu cos the seniors were training in the morning. and on the way back, she played Inconsolable by the Backstreet Boys and it got stuck in my head for the whole training. one way to get rid of earworms? SING.

Baby, I dont wanna waste another day

Keeping it inside it's killing me

All I ever wanted comes right down to you

I wish I could find the words to say

Baby I would tell you everytime you leave

I'm inconsolable.

but the verses dont make any sense lah. i can bet you, now everytime i close the door i would start singing "i close the door.." involuntarily ok. haha.

and speaking of the Backstreet Boys, and all those groups frm the 90s that are coming back, their names are kinda weird. i mean, the Backstreet Boys arent boys anymore, they're men. and the Spice Girls arent girls, they're women. but it's funny if they change their names to Backstreet Men or Spice Women, it sounds damn perverse. hahahaha. ok just another random thought.

and and, i discovered Jia Yu's weakness! HUNGER. yesterday she kept complaining that she was hungry and when we were playing against each other i kicked the ball to her and she literally let the ball just roll past her. hm. CAPTAIN AH! dont forget Subway ok. :D

Muthu Curry has unleashed his true colours. he is such a slacker. yesterday before it rained, the sky was just a bit grey and he cancelled training cos "the weather is bad". WTH. doesnt he know what the phrase "indoor training" is?? but in the end we just trained without him. hmpf.

friendly match against Whitley Sec on Saturday, half-field. win or lose, i dont know. but according to Muthu Curry, we are "fitter [hah.], more disciplined [double hah.] and more eager to play ball [triple HAH.]." he said he has to drag the girls frm Whitley Sec to come for training. kinda reminds me of Coach Carter. that movie rocks ok. although Coach Carter didnt coach football, he coached basketball, and Muthu Curry is nothing like Coach Carter.

I HAVE TO SAVE MONEY. frm now on i will go out only ONCE a week, trainings not counted. provided ppl actually ask me out. oh well. have to be INDEPENDENT ok. like Berd.
